Marcus Mason LicAc.  MBAcC.

I first became interested in natural and 'alternative' methods of healing in the late '70's. After exploring several different systems of natural healing, I eventually decided to study Traditional Acupuncture, which I have been practising since 1987.

I have trained in the two principal styles of acupuncture that are most commonly used in the West:

Five Element Acupuncture, at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA) in Leamington Spa (1984 - 1987), studying under Professor J R Worsley

TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Acupuncture with Acupuncture Training Courses, at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, studying with joint-principals John and Angela Hicks

  • As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I undertake regular CPD (continuing professional development) training courses.

Member of the British Acupuncture Council

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), which is the professional body that represents the Acupuncture profession. The BAcC was formed in 1995 by the unification of the 5 member groups of the Council for Acupuncture, in order to maintain common standards of

  • education
  • ethics
  • discipline
  • codes of safe practice
  • safety for patients at all times
